General Semi solid straw is a mastic-putty for stuccoing and gluing marble, natural stone, agglomerates, terrazzo, travertine. It is a mastic-beige polyester paste. Fast and good grip. Can be colored with pigments or coloring pastes

BONDING

The bonding and sealing capacity of a polyester adhesive can undergo variations due to multiple factors. It is therefore recommended:

Always keep the packages well sealed;
Apply the adhesive on surfaces that are clean from dust, dry, not subjected to a source of moisture or heat, not on overheated surfaces (use of flames and high temperature), or subjected to more or less violent mechanical stress.
GENERAL putty must not be mixed with any similar product.

FILLING

Polyester putty is widely used in grouting, intended as filling, for cavities or cracks in marble, stone and granite floors. During grouting the following warnings must be taken:

Avoid grouting for widths greater than 1-1.5 cm
The surfaces to be grouted must be clean, free of dust and very dry.
APPLICATIONS
Before applying the stucco for marble, the surface to be repaired must be scraped with abrasive paper, then thoroughly cleaned, to allow the material to adhere more easily. Put on the gloves and mix the hardener with the filler strictly following the recommended doses on the package. The mastic is worked with the spatula, which is a metal tool with a wooden handle: the tip is used to collect the material, the back to level it. You can help yourself with your hands for precision work. After completing the work, wait for the grout to dry. The drying speed is shown on the package: on average it takes about half an hour. However you can check yourself if the drying is complete by touching the putty with a fingertip: if it is hard and the fingerprint does not remain, the material is ready to be sanded and polished with the tools usually used for marble. The tools can be cleaned with ethyl alcohol or pure acetone.
