The Genovese abrasive comma made of magnesite is used in coarse grits for rough grinding or smoothing of the floors, while the synthetic abrasive comma is used for finishing and preparing the floor for the next phase, which is polishing. The polishing of the floors can be done using lead, oxalic acid, or marble polishing powder.
