Stainproofing for porcelain stoneware

Porcelain stoneware is used to cover the floor and to decorate the kitchen with kitchen worktops. To ensure the beauty of porcelain stoneware from stains, a preventive waterproofing, sealing and anti-stain treatment can be carried out with a hydro- oil-repellent product that closes its porosity to make the surface hydrophobic. In fact, while the water-repellent creates a stain-resistant and invisible protective barrier on the stoneware, the hydro-oil-repellent makes the stoneware oleophobic, because it repels water and oil and prevents the penetration of stains from the stoneware surface. Stain-resistant products for porcelain stoneware have an important feature: the water-repellent penetrates the pores of the stoneware and provides protection from the inside while allowing the treated material to breathe without altering its natural colour. This means that the appearance of porcelain stoneware is not altered, but becomes more resistant to oily and watery stains to facilitate daily cleaning with a dirt-repellent surface. Porcelain stoneware water repellent is a water-based formulation specially designed to penetrate easily into the porosity of porcelain stoneware. It is important to always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use when choosing an anti-stain product for porcelain stoneware and to use professional neutral detergents for daily maintenance, in order to avoid wax stratification, the formation of halos or trampling marks.
